Considered one of the best beaches in Tenerife, this 850-meter long golden sand beach is located in one of the liveliest tourist cities in the south of Tenerife, Los Cristianos. This beach is a few meters walk from the old Playa de Los Cristianos, where the Puerto de Los Cristianos is located.
The beach has very easy access, both on foot, by car or by public transport. If you come with a car, probably the best option will be to park in the parking lot of the seaport area, even if it is paid, since it is very difficult to get street parking in that area. You can always try and if not, park a little further and take a nice walk to the beach. It is protected by containment dikes so the waves are calm and it is especially suitable for families with children.
The wide avenue that surrounds the beach is a paradise of restaurants that offer all kinds of gastronomy, bars and cafes as well as all kinds of shops and boutiques. At night, the avenue fills with lights and life when entertainment venues and trendy clubs open.
The beach offers all kinds of services. You can rent a deck chair and umbrella, shower, practice water sports or beach volleyball or simply lie in the sun and relax.
Fishing, diving, boat trips, and ferries to the neighboring island of La Gomera are offered at the nearby sea port.
Las Vistas Beach is also adapted for disabled people who use a wheelchair, which is why it is defined as “Accessible Beach” by the Tenerife Council, with reserved parking, showers, ramps and access walkways.
It also has a Red Cross rescue point and is a guarded beach with lifeguards. However, it is always recommended to be careful with the sea and observe the color of the flag that flies on the beach. Remember the meaning of the color code of the flag:
Green flag: suitable for the bathroom.
Yellow flag: caution should be used in the bathroom.
Red flag: bathing prohibited.
