On October 11 and 12, the padel court at Coral Cotillo Beach hosted the final of the La Oliva Charity Padel Tournament, a sporting event with a shared purpose: enjoying sport while supporting the work of the Spanish Cancer Association (AECC) of Fuerteventura.

Over the same weekend, a charity auction featuring items donated by renowned athletes was also held, complementing the tournament’s spirit of solidarity and drawing great interest from attendees.

Thanks to the participation and generosity of players, collaborators, and the public, the event raised over €6,000, an amount that will be donated in full to the AECC to continue its important work on the island.

The event was attended by Isaí Blanco, Mayor of La Oliva; Alfredo Santaelena, former player of Atlético de Madrid and Deportivo de La Coruña; Fernando “Nando” Martínez, former player of Levante UD, Valencia CF, and Deportivo de La Coruña, and winner of the tournament; and Gleiber Carreño, Councillor for Sports of the La Oliva Town Council.
